So this is where you get to ask for the "product of your dreams." Emotiva may not build it, but if they know that enough want it...
My MAIN want would be a "cost-no-object" analog preamplifier. The XSP-1 is an overachiever itself, and I love mine, but I'd really be interested to see what the designers could do with a larger budget.
The features I'd really like to see on the "premium" XSP-1 would include:
Fully balanced crossover - I understand that use of the current design reverts to an unbalanced output on both low and high pass sections.
Clearly marked, accurate, and calibrated crossover points. The current log-taper pots make it impossible to know where you're really crossing over from mains to sub.
Backlit remote control - groping in the dark is fine for significant others, not so much for remote controls
Silver faceplate option - or even better - a design-your-own faceplate where you supply a graphic & Emo puts it on the preamp
Phase reversal switch from the remote - is it audible? Tell for yourself!
And that's about it. Otherwise the current XSP-1 is schweeeet!
So how about it, Lonnie?

Sounds great Boom.
The Phase reversal switch from the remote is one of those things where you have to be standing out in front and go back and forth to tell. Turns out that someone connected the speaker connectors on the driver of my Ultra 10 sub backwards. After checking everything else and verifying with my Ratshack db meter, I popped the driver out of the front of the Ultra and they were reversed. If the sub did not have phase control on it I would have never known. A Phase reversal switch would let you check all components, interconnects and speakers.

I'd like for them to build a center channel even more impressive that what they plan to come out with. The pending one looking nice, but I fear it is inferior to what I have. And of all things I want to upgrade, that's it.

Since there is a Airmotiv T1/C1 tower/center combination, and a yet to be revealed big brother Airmotiv tower that it as well has a matching Airmotiv center channel.

I would like to see a line of Tube Electronics... Maybe call it something cool like Emotiva Glass.
Tube Pre-Amp, Fully remote control with HT bypass. This is for me! A tube hybrid amplifier in the 200W range similar to the Rogue Medusa ($4k!!!) at a price that I can hope to afford. Full tube stereo amp with KT120 tubes... Possibly Tube Monoblocks
I see several brands out there that make affordable gear (Rogue & Jolida, Bob Latino), but I'd like to see Emotiva do this at a more affordable or higher quality price point (I just don't hear good things about Jolida Quality)
Possibly now with the dealer model Emotiva couldn't do this affordably?

A streamer to end all streamers. One with about 12 TB of hard drive memory (memory is cheap) and with the Emotiva look that had built in Pandora, Spotify, Tidol etc... but with all the features of a friendlier version of their own J River. They could call the program E MOgram.
A new 1000 Watt Mono AMP. SOTA for 1699.00
A new SOTA headphone amp with planar headphones as a set that sent Sennheiser and Aldese running. All for 1399 $
A series of EMOSTANDS designed to be modular and fir Emotiva products.
And I want it all in 1 week

Something as simple as Speaker Outriggers.
I seen tubes mentioned here in a couple of posts to this thread. IMO, I do not think tubes would be cost effective for EMOTIVA. There are good, reliable, well built, 100% made in the USA tube amplifiers at tubes4hifi at very reasonable prices. I wouldn't hold my breath for EMOTIVA to launch a different platform in the realm of tube amplifiers. As with TT's the best you could hope is that Emotivia endorses a select company. Retooling would be a serious challenge for EMOTIVA coming from the world of SOLID STATE not just at the manufacturing level but just as important the SERVICE level would have to be just as accommodating as it is with solid state.

Emotive has tube product prototypes. They had a brief association with Bob Carver and I believe intellectual property of several of his designs. Tubes would not be that far of a departure for them. It must not make business sense to them. I would also submit that the tube offerings for integration into a Home Theater are quite lacking. The most affordable tube pre-amp that includes digital switching of inputs and by bypass is like $1,700 through retail. I would think that Emotiva could have offered this closer to $1k before they added the dealer network. They had announced Glass (tube) products. I wish that they would either announce that Glass is dead or Glass is a go. Dan had posted that Glass products were not high on the priority list about 6 months ago.

I agree with a lot of what you have written, however I do think that that on the service side of dealing with tubes it could be an expensive proposition for Emo. Carver is in the pass and out of the picture.
My thought process of tubes revolves entirely around 2channel and not HT, but I will agree that no one knows what is in the bag that Emo is holding. My thoughts are entirely a guessing game.

A Stealth Hard Drive Music Player. Not a streamer but just a player. It would not come with a Hard drive but have a Solid State Drive dock inside with a simple folder interface using a small OLED display. Support for many of the current music formats. No DSD. Digital out to the DC-1. No DAC.

Talley : Honestly it is dirt cheap for what it does and has on it. I wonder how they are selling this and the audio Gd Master 1 (which is half the cost) for as little as they are. It's just too much for me. But someday it won't be! That's my dream praemp.
