A high quality preamp (I love my XSP-1), but with a large OLED touchscreen for the user interface, a HD music streamer, HD radio tuner, DAC, and the capability to play HD music files. The display could not only be used for control of sources, etc., but display of music art, and fun things like a spectrum analyzer and old school style VU meters. It would be a mix of an XSP-1, XDA-2, music server, and a tablet - but on a really high end performance platform. Oh I almost forgot, the capability to use an actual tablet with an app for remote control with a duplicate display of the one on the preamp. And while I am dreaming, the capability for your friends that are listening with you to be able to help create the playlist on the fly with their phones/tablets. A high end juke box on steroids.

Talley : Honestly it is dirt cheap for what it does and has on it. I wonder how they are selling this and the audio Gd Master 1 (which is half the cost) for as little as they are. It's just too much for me. But someday it won't be! That's my dream praemp. Garbulky, i can see that the amps that you had in mind since the beginning worked perfectly in your system. And i can see the yggy and the he-1 working the same way as th xpa-1's did, of course if you keep your current speakers. To me the electronics that worked the best were the ones that i didnt want to spend the coin into thinking that a cheaper option will do the trick but never did. See xpr-1 or the oppo. So my question is.. Did you have any disappointments with equipment thinking that they will be great but they werent at least in your environment?

So my question is.. Did you have any disappointments with equipment thinking that they will be great but they werent at least in your environment? Well to be honest there weren't much. I think I was very lucky in my component selections. I didn't have a lot of lee way spending wise so I read reviews relentlessly and made my decision. And most of the time the equipment exceeded my expectations. I am hoping the Yggy and the He-1 will meet my expectations. The reviews of the master 9 basically said - this unit was fantastic with no holds barred! But the reviews on the master 1 and He-1 are sparse. But ever since I saw Audio GD, I fell in love with the over the top electronics. I think it's the preamp for me. Now I am strongly tempted to get the master 9 instead because of its amazing headphone amp section. it has 8 transistors rated for 1200 watts of power total to deliver the Class A power of the headphone stage. It also has 260 watts of power supply. Good God man! I mean. Wow. The cheaper master 9 has 12 transistors rated for 1800 watts!! Lol.

+1 on the music streamer idea but for me, I'd like a renderer that can stream from my NAS.

How about a Stealth 66 & Stealth 88 with an adjustable Air-Motion tweeter so it can be used vertically or horizontally. I'm happy with my Stealth 6 but would definitely add a Stealth 66, or two, or more in my Home Theater / Music system.

A muscle steroids headphone amp for all kind of impedance. I know that Lonnie is certainly not for steroids, but for this particular case, who knows...

How about a CMX-2 for use with 20 amp circuits.
