I did a search but couldn't seem to locate the solution here.
I would like to hook up a vintage tuner with RCA outputs into the XDA-2 but think I might be out of luck. I do have a Toslink converter with RCA output to OPT input, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any thoughts or ideas on this? Thx

It appears that you are using the XDA-2 as a pre-amp in your system. Is this correct?
Do you have another component with analog out that you can try your converter with?

Yes, thanks for your reply. I meant to say the XDA-2 is being used as a pre-amp via a NAD C272 amp. Alas no analog outs for me with the NAD. Have Apple TV and CD player running into XDA-2

Can you post a link to the converter you are using?

You need an analog input, like on the DC-1.

Or a Toaster. pallpoul has it right. The XDA-2 does not have a Analog In and if the converter that rangeroad has is the one he posted a link too, it is Digital To Analog. He needs the one Pallpoul linked too, which is Analog To Digital. RCA analog out of the vintage tuner to a $13 analog to digital converter. Optical or Coax digital out of the analog to digital converter to the XDA-2. Hopefully problem solved for small price of converter and shipping. It is just an analog tuner signal so no need to buy a Mark Levinson Audio Systems for the XDA-2.

I fear that a $13 A/D converter will sound just like that.....
