UMC 200 use with 7.1 direct input

Anyone tried using 7.1 analog inputs on the UMC-200? Interesting result. Only seems to output 5.1 audio to the 7.1 outputs. Seems like the side and rear channel outputs (Left and Right respectively) are mixed in the unit. Yes there isn't a heck of a lot of true 7.1 surround out there but it seems as if this processor is doing something internally. Is there a setting in the unit for this?

Did you try this. Menu > Setup > Input Setup > Arrow button down to Ext 7.1CH Enable ON.
You can also check RCA's are not swapped around Surrounds to Rears. Just a thought. Mark
