Looking to purchase the Pioneer SX-N30, just wondering if someone can please explain to me the difference between the line out, and the pre-out, on the back. I am thinking of using my upa-2 as amplifier with it.

Normally no difference, but in this case, if both are available on the back of the unit, one may be fixed level, the other may be variable level. Download the manual from Pioneer to check it out.
