After setting up my main stereo system last year, my existing computer speakers were sounding like total crap. I'm using an old Total Bithead USB DAC / preamp to drive the 5S's and they are really working well in my office. The ASM Brackets fit my room well. I considered the 6S's, but they would have been a bit too large for the space I had. They look much bigger than in the picture while seated at my desk. While these don't push the bottom end of the bass envelop they are pretty nicely detailed with enough warmth to make some of my less than stellar recordings sound good.

Awesome ! You should consider the new Airmotiv S10 or S12 when they come out. I will be pairing a S10 my Airmotiv 5s.

They already sound good enough for office use and are typically only playing at very low volumes.
I'm pretty well set for equipment right now.
I've got a powerful subwoofer in my theater room that shakes the walls and kicks you in the gut.
When I want to do "critical listening", my Martin Logan's are in the next room.

I hate to say it, but that airmotiv subwoofer looks ugly as hell. I would never be allowed to bring that in the house.
The airmotiv blocky look works well on a "small scale" but I don't think that aesthetic scales up well.

Maybe they will make a smaller version Airmotiv subwoofer to go with the monitors that look more pleasing. A small subwoofer would be nice for a Desktop system and that is what many use the monitors and Stealth electronics for now.

A subwoofer below 10" is pointless and nothing but a marketing exercise. Personally I think the sweet spot for subwoofers is 12"-15" depending on the design. I think subwoofers should be large in a form following function sort of way. Everyone has a different idea what looks good. I think the airmotiv 3B through 6S all look good. I think the aesthetics of the Stealth 8 are way too busy with too many angles. However the aesthetics of that airmotiv 12S are just bad. It looks cheap and more like something in a gymnasium that is made to be hit. I understand they are trying to make it look like the rest of the family and that most people will just stuff it in a corner, but even if it sounds great it is a failure cosmetically.

I would buy a smaller form subwoofer. It would not need to go that low just improve on the Airmotiv 5s. As you said before the 6s is rather large for most to use for a desktop system. That is what we are talking here. I am listening to my Desktop Airmotiv 5s more than I do my towers now and would like it to go a little lower but no need to shake the house because I am arms length away. A smaller form subwoofer that would fit on the floor under my desk would be nice and I would like it to have the angles just like my monitors. I think the angles look cool.

I disagree with your statement that a subwoofer below 10" is pointless and nothing but a marketing exercise. Implementation is everything. You don't and wouldn't want a bigger sub for an apartment or condo, but it would complement many speakers in such an environment, or even a small room with minimal treatment. I used a pair of Klipsch SB-308 for some time and they worked great. 8" at 350 watts. Plenty, not a slam but musically beautiful. Just sayin.

Audio is an arena where people are opinionated and I am no different.
I'll enjoy my 5S's as is and be happy with them.
Good luck with whatever system you are putting together!

Different people have differing goals and preferences. I would prefer an 8 foot tall by 12 foot wide subwoofer made with electrostatic panels built into a wall infinite baffle. I don't think my wife is going to let me pull that one off though.
