I have been searching the forum looking to see if there would be a UMC-200 replacement or something a step above it but a step below the XMC-1 processor.

Go to the home page under the "News" tab and toggle down to the articles about the new Emersa line. Apparently they will have a new processor in the very near future to fill the hole below the XMC-1. EMP-1 I believe.

There will be both a step up and a step below. XMR-1 is to be the new flagship at some point but likely well after the mid and/or entry level offering(s).

Thanks for the feedback. My LMC-1 and LPA-1 have both held up well over all these years. With all the changing standards it has been a bit confusing as to what direction the audiophile industry is headed. They have the new 4K Ultra HD Blu Ray stuff with even higher end audio decoding coming and I am still trying to catch up to the HDMI Pre/Pro gear.

Yep...was going to add that but you beat me to it. It looks like we will see the Emersa first, then the Base X (which will be the UMC200 replacement), then the XMR-1.
Fun times ahead!
