Dan Laufman , Lonnie , KeithL I am very interested in the impending release of the EMP-1 but I have a few questions that hopefully can be answered  First question is since I am in Canada and would most likely order from one of the Canadian retailers am I able to use my Upgrade For Life discount with them or would I have to order directly from you. Second question is I own the Full Dirac version from owning the XMC-1, is that something I can use with the EMP-1 or is it a different version of Dirac that must be used. Easy enough questions I suppose but important ones for me, hopefully the EMP-1 is launching soon as I really miss having the Dirac room correction as I really enjoyed it with the XMC-1 and I now have my subs and mains behind an AT screen and would really like to hear what Dirac can do for adjustments as my setup has had some drastic changes. I noticed you did...but their frequency here is too low to expect a rapid answer. That's not a complaint - they have a business to run and product to develop and get into production (!!!!) to make us all really happy. And, a flood is about to be released between the new X-series, the Emersa line, and the Airmotiv line.

Just letting you know that I've read your questions - but I don't have definite answers yet. I will, however, look into it... Thanks Keith, don't worry I know you guys are really busy and the EMP-1 isn't being released tomorrow(or is it haha kidding...but really  ), whenever you have a chance just let us know, I'm just missing Dirac so much I'm getting all giddy haha. OK... so far...
YES - you WILL be able to use your discount-for-life (or your 40% card) on the Emersa pre/pro (but both are only valid for pre/pros).
I still don't have a definite answer for you yet about Dirac.
(It was my understanding that the current Dirac Live versions - both LE and Full - are licensed specifically to go with the XMC-1,
so I suspect that they won't be interchangeable - but I don't have any definite information at this point - so that could possibly change.)

Why is it possible for others outside of the US to order direct from Emotiva, yet I cannot down in Kangaroo Country Allegedly you can, but only if you qualify for "Upgrade for Life" or have a 40% discount card to use. You'll also have to post any items you buy back to the US if they require warranty service. Of course that is almost never required (joke). |

The prices out here are in my opinion nothing short of theft...
But this is old news , I had a major whinge about this some time back , I just got cranky when I see people from other countries able to buy direct...
I just have a natural aversion to being bent over ...
