DAC or no DAC? XMC-1 record out to Schitt Asgard 2 and HD580

Sennheiser HD580 headphones and above equipment, is there any  benefit to buying a DAC was wondering about another Schitt product such as the Bifrost or the next step down. What if any benefit? Do the headphones matter?

I think you will be just fine with the XMC-1 and the asgard 2.
If you want to do better (and make it worth it) than the XMC-1 you will need to spend a good amount of money. I suggest sticking with the current XMC-1.
