Hi all,
I am about to get an XMC-1 and I have a 3.3 set up that I would like some help with. I have only mains and a center (Dynaudio Contours) and three subs (2 x M&K 12's and 1 x 8 Jamo). At the moment I am running a Rotel RSP 1570 pro which doesn't have any room correction abilities and I have set the crossover point to 100hz. I am running the sub out through a tube filter type amp with a built in 35hz high pass filter leaving me with a 35-100hz mono signal which I run into a 3 way active cross over. I then feed one 12" sub with 35-60hz, one 12" sub with 60-80hz and the 8" gets 80-100hz. Once calibrated (and this takes some time) the lower end is awesome, tight and punchy with lots of headroom.
My question is, how can I use the room calibration either using Dirac or manually in XMC-1 to address my 3.3 set up? Would the 3 way crossover complicate things?
Thanks

Hmm. To answer your last question, most definitely this'll be non-trivial with 3 subs. Personally I'd EQ with 2 subs and lose the 8" as I don't think you'll miss it. Dirac will allow 2 subs. There are other threads which contain details but I'm beat now after a 20 hour shift and going to bed. Sorry. Hope you/others can find it, else I'll try tomorrow when I'm not so bushwacked.

Thanks Hemster, I'll hunt around and see if I can find it.
