Just wanted to give credit where it's due, and in this case, that's with Emotiva support and service.
My UMC-200 has been acting strangely for the past couple of months, giving the "OSD Flash not Match" error on startup. A power cycle would typically fix it, but it's been getting worse. A quick call to Emotiva support, and within 5 mins, the tech said to send it in for warranty repair, so I boxed it up and my wife dropped it off at the shipper.
Here's the timeline of events:
March 17th - Called support and was given RMA number March 21st - Dropped it off at the shipper March 23rd - Received an email that my unit arrived March 24th - Received email that a reconditioned UMC-200 is being shipped to me March 24th - Received email from UPS with tracking number and expected delivery date of March 28th
So, 7 days from dropping it off to expected delivery of the replacement unit .... wow! That's impressive.
Way to go guys, keep it up!

Awesome result there. Emotiva does a great job on support. My Dad bought some other receiver long time ago, and it took a month and a half to get it back. This from a well known brand name too. Needless to say he won't buy another. I told him when the time is right, Emotiva is there for him.

Credit where credit is due - I'm also a fan of Emotiva service. Every (rare) time I've needed them, they were awesome. Lonny - give those folks a raise!

I also think that emotiva has a great CS. I'm not worried at all buying from them even having issues with some units in the past. The key here is having realistic expectations about how the problem is gonna be fixed. For example I received a bad xsp-1 on a Friday and it kind of "ruined" the weekend but oh well, is a first world problem. I totally can see some people having a rant because it "ruined" their weekend and probably demanded overnight Saturday delivery. In my case emotiva paid for shipping back to them and send another unit a day later.
