Thanks in advance for advice...
I recently received some warranty service work on my UMC-200. I have had one issue since it was returned. I can't get services using the Dolby Digital Plus codec to stream sound properly.
I'm running a Roku 3 through HDMI2. I can't get sound when using Netflix and Amazon Instant Video; both of which use Dolby Digital Plus. The menu display on the UMC-200 says "Dolby D Plus CH: 2/1" even though it should be 3/2. When I use HBO Go I get full 3/2 surround sound. HBO Go doesn't use DD+. If I switch to the Apple TV (3G) Netflix works fine, but on the ATV Netflix doesn't use the DD+ codec. On the Roku I have used suggested audio settings:
- Audio Mode = Auto - HDMI = Auto-Detect
If I switch Audio Mode to Stereo I can hear two channel audio as you would expect.
I have also tried switching from HDMI 2 to HDMI 3 and switching to a different HDMI cable, but this has not resolved the issue.
It feels like I'm missing a setting somewhere, but I can't find what it might be.
I could also swear that audio worked briefly in Amazon Instant Video when I first set up the UMC-200 after it was returned from service, but I can't figure out what I might have done to break that.
Finally, this was all working before the box failed and had to be shipped in for warranty services.
Any suggestions on how to remedy?
Thanks!

Was the firmware updated while it was in for service?

I have a Roku 3 as well.
If you cycle through the surround modes while watching DD+ content, it may appear. DD+ is an odd thing with the UMC-200.

Yes, the firmware was updated. I assume it's the latest, but I'm not able to check the version at the moment.
I have tried cycling through modes. No dice to date.
Thanks!

When I had the UMC-200 and had an anomaly, I'd perform a factory reset which I believe is called a "Load Default" in the UMC-200 settings. Just make sure you write down all of your settings as well as the P-EQ settings, as it clears all of these if I'm remembering correctly.

Before you do the factory reset meador make sure any downmix settings are switched off [if the 2/1 is close to accurate?] ; cant remember if they were per codec when I had my umc200 in my system
