According to the Emotiva website, the expected ship date is late March so maybe this coming week pre-orders will start to go out. I'm sure as soon as a Lounge member has one in their rack we will hear about it. Since you're thinking about a new XPA-2 Gen 3, maybe you'll be our first reviewer!

I hear about people who buys new models of cars without even trying them out first...... I am not one of them lol! I like to get some imputs first...... But if emotiva would have retailer nearby, where I could hear the products first....... Then my house probably would have emotiva gear in every room hehe! I have the xmc-1 and xpr-5 and the just sound amazing, but in Norway it is not easy to listen to gear before we buy it..... And I dont like to gamble! But if the g3 gets good reviews, and they even compare it to the old xpr series..... Then I dont have to think long

Since you're in norway there is another brand of amp you can demo for yourself, if you can get to Arendal.
With the higher prices of Emotiva, and thus more import duty and VAT there isn't much difference between imported, and locally bought amps

It is three times the price of xpa-2 g3 which has the same specs...... would be nice to compare those two, and see who would win the match!

It is three times the price of xpa-2 g3 which has the same specs...... would be nice to compare those two, and see who would win the match! well the XPA-2 is a 2 channel. The 1807 is 7 channel. Not fair really is it? Compared XPA-2 against ATI 1802. Also the specs of the ATI are better- better SNR, dual transformers (so monobloc arrangement) and lower THD at rated spec. Approx difference between XPA-2 gen 3 and ATI 1802 is about £100-£200 or so. Use this site to work out how much the emotiva will cost. The 1802 is 1500 euros. www.dutycalculator.com/

Okey I checked against at6002 which had 2 * 300w 8 ohm, and checked norwegian prices! 40000nok is 4700 usd! So three times more expensive.......
