It's been a looooong time, but I seem to remember it will (others will chime in with better info). I hope it comes with a copy of Quadrophenia.

Thanks The only difference in a turntable that will play Quad LP's (SQ, QS, CD-4), is in the cartridge and its stylus. CD-4 LPs in particular required a cartridge with excellent high frequency response, new stylus shapes (like the Shibata) were developed to capture those frequencies. As a bonus the stylus shape distributed the load of the cartridge in the groove and generally caused less wear. So, to answer your question, yes, a quad player will play regular (stereo) LPs; this was somewhat necessary because there were rather few Quad albums. That said, if the turntable is that old you may want to get a new cartridge. Oh, and yes, ÈlTwo is correct, every record collection should have a copy of Quadrophenia (even in stereo).

This one comes with Floyd's DSOTM (quad) in like new condition and about another 150 60s and 70s Rock albums Including a fairly rare Muddy waters LP...Looking forward to going through them.

The DSotM quad version should be the Alan Parsons mix.
