I have tried searching the threads and was not able to find my answer. Possibly it was me not searching with the correct wording. My original intention of placing both of these items within our TV/AV cabinet is not going to work. Their dimensions are to large. So I am wondering if placing them on top of the cabinet/stand will suffice without interference to the TV. The XMC-1 will have approximately 4" between it and the lower left corner of the TV and the XPA-5 will have about 2" between it and the lower right corner of the TV.

What kind of interference are you worried about specifically? Heat? Magnetic fields? EMI?

Shouldn't be any problem at all. Many place components along side a TV with good results. As long as you enough supportive surface to locate your XPA-5 and XMC-1, you are good shape.

The xpa-5's weight might be your biggest issue...depends how sturdy the console is
