Have you tried a balanced connection, as those connectors are on the main board and not connected by pigtails yo the RCA board

I've done every possible thing except reinstalling the firmware. That I will do in a couple of days when I get back home from Easter holidays. Then I will let you know the result. Hopefully it is a bug in the firmware. Could you elaborate on the specific steps you have taken to rule out your source, your Amps, your speakers, and your cables? I have asked this twice and you have not answered. I am not saying if you do outline this that we will find a magic bullet, but until I know what troubleshooting steps you have taken, I cannot help. And there are many possible reasons for your issue that are not the XMC. They really need to be ruled out. Mark Once you get back from vacation, not only should you swap output from left to right for every possibility (start with XMC to Amps...take XMC right out, put it into left amp in and vice versa, then do the same with Amps to speakers, and source to xmc)...I see you have xpa-1l's and an xpa-5. For the offending channel, do make sure the BAL/unbal switch is set correctly. We have heard of more than one situation in which a switch mysteriously got flipped. In fact, check that first before you swap wires around. If that solves it, good. If not and the XMC to amp output to input swap does...you know it is not the XMC, so dig deeper. Mark

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your efforts of being helpful. Today I've installed the latest firmware. First, all was the same. Then I've tried the dedicated XRL outputs in reference stere mode and the right speaker came alive again. Same from unbalanced dedicated outputs. Switching to stereo mode with dirac caused some pops and noises in the right channel but after a awhile they've completely disappeared. Now it is working again the way it should be. I don't usually used the dac of the XMC-1. I am using Gustard X-20 for that purpose. But I still need the processing of XMC-1 for dirac. My system is 2.2. I still don't know what went wrong but now I am extremely happy that everything is back to normal. Once again, thank you all for participating, for your time and help. God bless you all.

Glad you got it going again. I imagine that was a bit of a relief. Must have been a stuck electron or two and the pops were them being spit out. Kinda like turning on the water after it's been off for awhile...

Sounds like a cable issue to me. Maybe a loose connector......

I don't know if it is a good idea to post here or to make new thread, you'll let me know. I received a factory renewed XMC-1 2 months or so ago. I have been using zone 1 output until yesterday when I wanted to setup my new multichannel amp. Before connecting this amp, I moved the audio cinch cable to right and left front speakers output (of the 7 channels analog out) and I discovered that right channel is not working (no test tone and no output with a DVD player for instance). Unit has been factory reset, two cables have been flipped that prooved that the problem came from the XMC-1. I had a contact with support at Emotiva and nothing could have been done to get the right channel working. I just ordered a XLR/Cinch adapter to check if it could be an issue with the RCA connector. Anymay, living in France, this makes things quite complicated, time consuming, and expensive in the likely event I will have to send the unit back. It points out the very urgent need for a repair facility in Europe (550 millions people)

Now that Emotiva is using international distributors the game has changed...warranty is not supported by the new distributors (at least none that I have heard of) for units purchased direct from form Emotiva and the period of warranty is not probably 5 years any more either (2 for Singapore) not to mention the prices being a big difference.
