The saga continues. Now, in addition to having very low output after Dirac, the XMC-1 has stopped sending any video or audio at all. I have the OSD visible, and if I bypass the XMC by jumping cables, I have video, but whether powered on or on standby, no output to the TV. Nice.

Have you tried a "Factory Reset"? Try that if you haven't already. If you have, then giving Emotiva Tech support would be your best bet. Phone: 615.790.6754 or 1.877.EMO.TECH (1.877.366.8324)

+1...unless you had a major setup change affect things, you need to talk to Emotiva.

As I said, if I bypass the preamp, I get video and audio, so a cable is not the issue. As far as I can tell, a factory reset is what CAUSED this. No, I did not talk to tech support. I may have to let some time pass before trying that. At this point I may say something unchristian to them about their product. I have been into audio since before there was home video. I got into video when I hooked my "Reggievision " stereo VCR to my preamp. I have never seen a piece of audio equipment that is as unpredictable and unreliable as this thing, and I go back to vacuum tubes! I am quite sure I have more time into fighting this thing than I have time listening to it, and when I DO get it to work, kinda, I am not impressed.
