Rory (or Nick), any idea of when the physical and electrical specs of the entire line are going to be published?
I am interested in particular in the specs of the bookshelf models (dimension, sensitivity and -3dB low end FR)

I have heard them driven by the SA-250, the XPA-7 Gen3, the new unreleased Stealth PA-1 ICEPower monoblocks (same ICEPower module as Emersa), XPA-1 Gen2 monoblocks in Class-A mode, and the new TA-100 tuner/DAC/integrated amp, and they sound spectacular with all of the above. How about hearing them with BasX, G1/G2 amps that aren't monoblocks, and/or UPA series amps?

Would it not be better to get a boat with a motor? I'm all for helping but I'm kinda impatient.

Any update on the Airmotiv S12? Will it have a L/R input and output so that we can use it with preamps that do not have a sub out?

Any update on the Airmotiv S12? Will it have a L/R input and output so that we can use it with preamps that do not have a sub out? The subs take a little bit longer because of the need to fine-tune the interaction between the driver and the amplifier; things like limiters are easily taken for granted, but it takes some effort to make a subwoofer difficult to kill while still wringing out the last bit of performance the driver/amp combo is capable of. We aren't just bolting on an off-the-shelf amplifier; there is a serious Emotiva-designed Class AB amplifier in the back of each unit. The subs do have L/R unbalanced inputs, as well as a single balanced input. There are no pass-thru output jacks; you'll need to use a Y-adapter or separate outputs on your preamp or integrated amp. This was done to keep the rear panel of the sub clean and un-crowded, and the vast majority of systems (except for vintage stereo receivers) now have either separate subwoofer outputs or a spare set of pre-amp outputs. You can definitely make it work.

This thread reminds me of a similar thread a few years ago regarding Emotiva glass. Back then I was frantic waiting anxiously with bated breath for any news about emotiva tube gear. I gave them a six month window even though I didn't believe they would be able to come up with something tube that I could afford. Well we all know that window closed. This time as I await the new speakers there is a since of calm for me. Maybe it's because I have three pairs of speakers and I really don't need them, or maybe it's because for all intense purposes these speakers will be the last pieces of audio equipment I plan to purchase in this life. Baring any unforeseen catastrophe, or windfall that is.
This time we've seen the proto type and we have a price. This time I'm patiently excited. Thanks for the update.

I can confirm that the AirMotiv speakers are in production. If anyone was there at AXPONA, you saw these speakers in their finished state. The designs are finalized and the factory is presently building them. Beyond that, I cannot give any hard dates (production and shipping are both variable, and there's no sense in making something up until we know for sure), but we are looking at a couple months at least before the speakers get here. When we have them in stock, you'll know. Slow boat, eh? View Attachmentthanks for the update! Actually It is a little bigger than that one Nick. Maybe even 2 of them.

The T1 towers have a modest 88dB/2.83V sensitivity, so their power needs are nicely in line with similar compact tower speakers. If you have more than 10 watts (@ 4 ohms) to rub together, you can drive the T1s to "loud" levels, and even the wimpiest home theater receivers will have no trouble making plenty of sound. In that sense, most modern loudspeakers have very low power 'requirements' to play loudly. But feed them some really good, clean, low-distortion power with tons of current behind it (like an XPA-1L in Class-A mode) and you will really be impressed. The RMS power handling of the T1 speakers is 150W continuous, 300W peak power, so they can easily and safely be used with our bigger amps like the Gen 3 XPAs. Enjoy responsibly. As a side note, I'm informed that production is complete on the T1, B1, E1, and C1 models, and they should be hitting the water to us very shortly. Ocean shipping is usually the most variable part of the process, so I can't give a firm date, but we're looking at 1-2 months until availability. Hey Rory, thanks for the update! Hopefully I'm not "pushing the envelope" as per say, but can you comment on what Big Dan called the "Big Brother" to the T1? If not, we understand. Again, thanks for your latest update on the new passive speakers.

Yeah, definitely interested to hear more on the big brother line. Just to be clear, Big Dan only referred to a big brother speaker to the T1 that would be following behind the rest of the Airmotiv passive speaker line. Not a full big brother line.

That's okay LC, I would only be interested in the big brother tower speaker anyways.
