Hmm, great question. Many 4K TVs out there and folks don't want a stack of players. Just one that does it all. So yeah, a few will hop on it. Would I? Nope, I would just get the Samsung 4K, or the Panasonic....is it here yet? Or the Oppo 4K when it arrives on our shores.

The new vr that's supposed to be accompanying the playstation could be interesting. I've been tossing around the idea of getting a 4k player since they decided to stop putting atmos audio streams on regular blurays. Waiting to see what the verdict is on dts-x though.

No. I'd rather a dedicated unit. I will eventually buy a ps4 when it comes out with the new gran turismo

If I win the lotto maybe, cause going 4k means new projector, source and of course a pre/pro ughhhh I'm getting tired of the game of constant upgrades due to new formats and my bank account and marriage are not fond of it either, 1080p DTS-HD it will be for me for a long time yet

I would bite if gameplay was going 4K, but it isn't. Not to mention, in my space - no one can convince me that a 47" 1080p 240 Hz TV is going to look that different from a 47" 4K TV.

I went from a 37" Vizio HD set to a 50" Samsung 4k set and the 4k set is worlds better - including, from six or seven feet away, a whole lot sharper. It's the sort of difference that bowls you over when you walk into the room - not at all subtle. (This is a 50" Samsung LCD set - not an OLED, and not HDR - and the difference is still dramatic.) Of course, you only see that huge difference with 4k content, and there isn't much of that available yet. It's actually also better with up-sampled HD content, but nothing spectacular.
