I just got the ok to go if we stay at my wifes grandma house in Bowling Green ky for the weekend. I am looking forward to meeting a few other people that understand why you would hook-up an amp. I was trying to explain this concept to my new manager at work who used to be a Circuit city GM and he didnt seem to think anything could sound as good as his Bose. I stayed in Bowling Green last night...the place is loaded with Corvettes! There is a big ta doo at the national corvette museum this weekend and the fields and parking lots surrounding the museum are wall to wall fiberglass. I saw long convoys of vettes heading into town on I 65 as well. I'm actually at the embassy suites in Franklin right now. I'll take a drive by the emotiva place tomorrow and see what it looks like . It's not far from me now. |

BTW..when I checked in, the clerk at the front desk mentioned they have some ball clubs coming in this weekend as well. Not sure which ones...I know the titans are playing someone here this weekend.

Since tomorrow will be a traveling day for many of you it is time to wish everyone a great time at Emofest this weekend. I will be with you in spirit.
Honestly one of the reasons I'm not going, besides the far distance, is that I'm afraid I might get upgraditis.
I'm just so happy with my new system and I can't really afford to dump any more money into equipment that I just want to be happy with what I have.
One of the added bonuses to the whole thing has been this forum. I still scan all the messages. This is my haitus from other stressful things... Of course, there is also my Emo equipment to help with that. ;D

I already drove safe...now I can rest for a day before emofest. I did some exploring around the area by the hotel. They have a sams club and a lowes and a nice chinese buffet restaurant.

floridaguy...being there won't give you upgraditis...let's face it, at least 90% of us on this forum already have it. But, it's like a dormant virus. For me, the upgraditis virus activated over a month ago, and I can't shake it. So, I figure the best plan to "fight fever with fever" and buy some more (most likely while I am there!). That might cure me...for a few more months, at least.

I actually need Emofest to get here... I haven't gotten $hit done at work this week. I am constantly dreaming of amplifiers and speakers. I haven't been this excited since I was a kid. I swear, if I have to wait any longer, my company is going to go bankrupt, cause' I can't freakin think straight.... WTF is wrong with me |

Here is wishing safe travels and good times to all who are going to Emo Fest! Wish I could make it down to put names/usernames with faces on all you fine gents and ladies, but alas, I cannot (family commitment).
I look forward to all of the stories and impressions form the Fest (hopefully not to many stories involving Bail Bondsmen though).

I've been pumped about this for weeks and I'm not even going. Moving into a new house this weekend so my Emofest will be hooking up my equipment in new surroundings!! ;D Seems like quite a few people are attending so it should be a blast. Would love to be there but I will be in spirit. The deals sound like they are going to be unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone drive safe and stay out of where you don't want to be... |
