Having a XSP-1 and AV8801 in same setup, I want to add a TT. However, interconect cable distance will be around 6 meters. Can I go direct from TT to any of the preamps ? Would a XPS-1 add capable distance ? I can not find any information on XPS-1 about maximum interconnect distance.
Thanks guys.

I am no expert, but i would not run a low level TT signal that far. Your best chance at success would be to put a phono pre at the TT and run line level intercoonect over to pre-amps. You would want some well made interconnects with a good shield at that distance. Most phono pre-amps bring the TT signal to line level. The XPS-1 should be fine for that.
Hopefully others will comment.

In this case I would do short cables to the XPS-1 and then have it drive the longer cables the the AV8801.

My cable run from the turntable is about the same distance and it has not been a problem. The turntable preamp sits right next to the turntable and then I run RCA cables from there to the XMC-1. Maybe the sound could be improved slightly with shorter cables but nothing bad seems to happen from the long run.

If you find that a long run of RCA cable picks up electrical noise, try this. Find a used Sherbourn Pre-1. Its phono preamp is almost the equal to the XPS-1, and it has balanced outputs that will run the distance without picking up any electrical noise.

Thanks everybody.
Besides an used Sherbourn preamp(that I´m not allowed to bring into my country) is there any other affordable brand new phono preamp with balanced output in the market ?

Thanks everybody. ... is there any other affordable brand new phono preamp with balanced output in the market ? I don't have a recommendation, but that's what I'd be looking for. Even then that's a long way.
