I have the full version of Dirac and a 7.2 setup on my XMC. The dirac speaker setting result in very low volume. Preset 1 and 2 are great but dirac is considerably lower. Any idea what im doing wrong? thanks Michael

AGC is off. I tried calibrating it twice and it sounds horrible. I have the full version of Dirac.

What is Windows AGC? I'm not much of a computer guy. It's Windows Automatic gain control; the AGC effectively reduces the volume if the signal is strong and raises it when it is weaker. o check if that is the case, do this. Right-click the volume control choose Playback Devices Double-click "speaker" Go to enhancements tab Disable enhancements

Emotiva default mic are good, but its default calibrated files aren't for the mic you might have with the XMC-1. I don'think they have updated theirs in a while.
I got a calibrated UMIK-1 and it sounds awesome. It "hears" your room better.

Assuming you followed the process well (including setting the mic level per the directions) and you don't have a defective mic...take a look at your graphs prior to and after DIRAC adjustment. What do they tell you? Is there a particular channel with a huge dip it's trying to resolve? Dirac will only boost dips by a certain amount. If there's some anomaly on one channel, DIRAC may dial everything down to match it vs. try to boost that one issue. I have never had this on mine, but others have reported this. Also, what you might find is that the big dip could either be revealing a room or equipment issue (for example, IIRC, one user ended up finding they had a driver issue in a speaker...and DIRAC won't be able to fix that!).
Good luck,
Mark

I do have a huge peak in the right front channel at around 40 hz could that be the problem?
