Makes sense in the big scheme of things. No harm no foul. In a pinch I have done the daisy chain XLR balanced too. My Project studio was that way for a while till I got the right length. No hum or noise from the additional connections or anything. But I needed the daisy chained cables for another project after I got the right length of XLR balanced cables. I have always run short Interconnects as possible with longer speaker cable runs for as long as I can remember. Just always worked out that way for me.

I was in Boulder visiting ps audio ( last year I did Emotiva) and hear the irsv's first hand...amazing wall of sound, I had the room to myself for about an hour.
Came away from there with a DSDAC Junior and a NuWave Phono Convertor - class act those PS audio guys.

I edited my original post with a third article which also adds a bit of flavor with so some esoteric cables. I do not subscribe to the theory of spending BIG $$ on cables but some people believe that more expensive cables are worth the reward. Again money is relative, however in my case I have used MIT2 Terminator cables in my system in the pass comparing them with my inexpensive, well built Nakamichi speakers cables and audibly could not tell the difference. While the MIT2's might have a better review on paper my ears would not make the distinction that the MIT's were worth a bigger $$ value. www.psaudio.com/pauls-posts/a-real-head-scratcher/
