Sorry if this was covered elsewhere.
Before I tear my system apart, I was wondering if I could find out if the Stealth DC-1 can be connected to one of the Zone outputs on the XMC? If it can, or there any special set up choices that I need to make in the XMC menu? If the DC-1 will not work with one of the Zones, can you advise a headphone device that will?
Thank you very much for the help.
Best Regards,
Steve

You could use either the XMC-1's Z1 or Z2 outputs into the analog input on the DC-1. You could also take either of the digital outputs (Coax or TOSLink) into the DC-1, that's how I get my main system's signal into my desktop DC-1; that output currently tracks the Main zone (Z1). Remember that if you're considering the Atmos upgrade board it will repurpose the Z1 & Z2 outputs so they'll no longer be available, the digital outputs will become tied to Zone 2. So there are a couple ways to do it based upon your goal and needs, what do you want to do with it?

High, thanks much for the response.
Right now I am using the Analog inputs on the DC-1 connected to the Record Out jacks on the XMC-1. This is so that she can listen to whatever I am watching on tv or movie. I would like to hook up an old but still in excellent condition reel to reel that I have to see how that sounds. Have a box full of old tapes from years gone by and would like to add to my system.
I am thinking of the Atmos upgrade in the future, but for right now would just like to use one of the Zone outputs to see how it works. When it comes to it, would switch her over to one of the digital outputs.
Never having used one of the Zone outputs before, is there anything special I have to do as far as making menu choices in the XMC? Once set up, she would then be able to hear whatever it is we are watching on the tv.
Guess I have beaten that to death. Thank you very much for your help and advice.
Regards,
Steve

Once set up, she would then be able to hear whatever it is we are watching on the tv. The advantage of Z2 is that you can set the output level independently to what ever is needed to provide a good input for whatever it's driving (The DC-1 in your case). If you also set the Z2 input to "follow main", it will always be the same as whatever the main system is playing. The Z1 level tracks that of the main volume level, which may not be convent for some applications. Edit: The disadvantage of Z2 is that you have to turn it on every time you turn the XMC-1 on, unfortunately there's no setting for it to come on with the unit.

Sounds like Z2 will be the way to go. I can get used to turning it on and that will not be much of an issue since we basically turn the XMC on in the morning and don't turn it off until later in the day.
I have decided to go with a TOSLink cable but nice to have a choice. Thanks again for the info.
Take care,
Steve
