Last thread led to this, Which battery manufacturer do you prefer? What type? Don't forget rechargeables! Thanks y'all! I'll withhold my preference so I dont taint the outcome. Too many to have a poll IMO

I know this is a bit off subject but I worked for a rotogravure label maker and we had a press that ran 24/7 making only AA Duracell battery labels on acetate (plastic). The ink was very special as all the inks and protective coatings had to be non-conductive.
Take a guess how many AA batteries Duracell sells a year ? This is AA only, Duracell only.
Nick, I buy Ray-O-Vac and Duracell. We gave up on rechargeable.

I found that the bulk pack Rayovacs that I bought at Home Depot worked and lasted almost as good as Duracel or Energizer for much less cost.I am however replacing things like flashlights with newer style LED units that use Lithium Ion rechargables and I am very impressed so far but I am early in this process.Watch out for fakes if you look into this type battery. There are tons of Chinese made fakes, particularly under the Ultrafire brand,on eBay.Some simply don't deliver the goods, some are potentially hazardous.Mostly I am saying watch for the fake batteries. Some of the flashlights are decent even when they are cheap. On the lights look for a Cree LED.

Eneloop for rechargeables and Kirkland (Costco brand) for AA and AAA's. Duracell for others. I also use Amazon's own brand of rechargeables and they seem to work pretty good.

Rayovac. Around Black Friday they have them on sale for $10 for 50 (give or take) and I typically buy a couple of boxes. I don't think they last as long as other brands, but for the price paid I probably come out ahead.

Energizer Ultimate Lithiums.
Know what happens when you put the batteries in backwards on the Energizer Bunny?

Energizer rechargeable, for 10 Yeats now. 10 Yeats, is that about 35 Romulan Star years?

Energizer Ultimate Lithiums. +1 Absolutely! They do last much longer although expensive! One ran my house digital thermometer for 6 years! I use them in mice, remotes and my UW camera gear!

Duracell. Partly because they are good, and partly because (until recently) they were owned by the company I work for. #pgemployee

12 years ago I put a wireless door bell transmitter/button on my house - outside of course. All these years later and it's still going. Its a Duracell button battery - 3v lithium. It gets hot here - its over 95 today. It gets cold here - I've seen -13 once and many more sub-zero temps and that battery keeps going. Having said that I buy Costco alkaline in AA & AAA. I get Duracell in 9v flavor for for the 3 smoke alarms in the house. Can't be too careful! I used to buy Duracell but the Costco batteries seem to last as long as any other brand I've ever bought - and they are cheaper by quite a bit. I've had mixed results with rechargeable batteries and gave up on them.
