New XMC and so new to the forums.
One major issue I'm having is that Set-up in Menu has disappeared. Tuner, Information, Main Zone, Zone 2 but no more Set-up.
It was at one point and I got my system up and running, speaker size, distance etc. but now- not. I went in to see why centre channel dialog was sometimes missing from DirectTv when switching from commercials to content when it suddenly disappeared.
What did I do?

You inadvertently invoked the setup lock function. It keeps kids and others from messing up your setup. Check page 50 of the manual which will tell you how you set the lock and how to turn it off.
And welcome to the forum. The XMC-1 is a great addition to your music or theater system.

I am. I had a Krell Showcase before with and outboard HDMI switcher and one thing is certain- the picture produced via the XMC is noticeably superior. Same cables, just different processing, but what a difference.
Still playing with the audio and would like to try Dirac but I'm in the Mac/El Capitan camp and cannot get the mic recognized. But I have low expectations. The Showcase had a bunch of filters to employ, but ultimately I chose to run the signal clean analog pass-through. The filters may have corrected the room somewhat but the sound was "veiled". Instead I chose passive room treatments that work well and for me are the better choice.
Still, I am curious to hear how Dirac would sound.

Sound is also better (uncorrected) than the Krell- both using analog pass through. Reference material (some +20 yr old analog tapes and newer SACD titles) have greater clarity and dynamics. No question. If less is more, the XMC manages to put less in the way of the signal path. And that's good.
My system can be quite revealing and the Krell could be a bit harsh at times- but it was mostly garbage in/ garbage out in terms of recording quality. Still I would say that the XMC is more transparent with less glare than the Showcase- that's very good.

Comparing the XMC-1 to a Krell product that is cost much more and have a long time big reputation, means a lot, mostly when the XMC-1 winning. Dan Laufman , Lonnie and all the Emotiva team should be proud of this achievement. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Your XMC-1's performance will gradually get better and better as the months go by, amazing the changes mine has had in the year and a half I've it. The Dirac Full version is the way to go, if you want to use correction, most user's really like it.I ran 4 runs, of the live version that's included, but liked the results better uncorrected. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine !
