Does anyone here know anything about the potential release date of the Mini-X A-100 replacement from BasX series? I have the Mini-X and love it, and have recommended it to my roommate. He is in dire need of a high value low cost stereo amp. It seems that most of the BasX products that were announced have been listed on the website, and most are available for order and are actually shipping, but there isn't even a page for the new mini. Anyone here have any more information I can pass on?
Thanks

Oh he's going to love it! It comes with a headphone jack that will take ALL the amps power!

If it is anything like my Mini-X, I am sure he will! I can't wait to hear the improvement and try out the headphone amp portion. I have considered doing the mod on mine to add the jack, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

1 watt will get almost ANY headphone made over 100db. 1-and-1/2 will get the most sensitive cans OVER 120db.
That's loud enough to listen to jet fighter flyovers at realistic levels.

If the headphones are that loud, then how could you hear the jet fighters flyover. And why are the jet fighters flying over anyway? Is there something behind me?

Headphones are VERY sensitive devices. A hundred milliwatts should 'bout do it. And provide HUGE headroom/ My previous numbers were WAY HIGH, for power at least. An amp that is VERY quiet is the way to go. shure.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2991/~/understanding-earphone-%2F-headphone-specificationsA headphone jack with 'all the amps power' will be an utter waste.

Why not seek an XDA? Built in headphone amp and all. It will certainly drive the cans just fine.

I have an XDA-2 and the headphone jack drives my Koss 4S-Pro headphones just fine.

I believe OP said he himself wanted to try out the headphone section, but his roommate is interested in a stereo amp.
