I am currently running a 7.2 - front height speakers are full size bookshelves with 6.5 drivers; side surrounds are bipoles of a different brand than my other 5.
I eventually want to expand to an Atmos system, but I don't see me adding ceiling speakers right now, so I'm looking at adding some rear surrounds to make a 9.2 (which rear surrounds would be used anyway in a future 7.2.4 Atmos).
I have read various threads over at AVS and elsewhere about what to do for rear surrounds - namely bookshelves vs. bipoles vs. towers vs. slim "on wall" types.
Wondering about the experience/setups of others here in this regard.
My back wall is pre-wired for me to be able to add on anything I might choose. My MLP is less than 3ft from the back wall.

I have the same for surround and surround back, Def Tech 800.
