Looking for digital coax, optical, HDMI, and speaker cables to go with new BasX and T1 units. Considering using the X series cables and cannot seem to find much about build quality, manufacturer, or user feedback. If not, researching a few other brands in similar price range. Would like to hear some comments on the Emotiva cables and any other recommendations. Not really interested in expensive "exotics", looking for something with price to value to match that of the Emotiva audio equipment.

In ranking of build quality (from poorest to best):
Monoprice - Functional & cheap - the biggest bargain in audio
Emotiva - Range from Monoprice quality (M & Z series) to almost (but not quite) Bluejeans quality (X-Series)
Bluejeans - Welded connectors - lowest impedance - VERY reasonable price for quality
If you can afford it, I'd recommend the Bluejeans brand. I've owned lots of "exotics" over the years and even made my own. The sound differences (if any) are truly minimal. The only Bluejeans I've ever lost was one that my wife stepped on & broke the welded connector.

The X series is exceptional. I have used the Optical, and HDMI, and the Balanced XLR to terrific effect. Quality is great especially for the money. Yes there are other cables that work of course. But if you are concerned about the quality. Rest assured, the X Series which I have used for some time, definitely rock. Great quality, and dependable performance. By the way, the Optical connections are metal not plastic as commonly seen these days.

+1 on Blue Jeans Cable. I don't know of a better performance/price ratio in cables. The custom length and terminations make their products even more compelling.

All my cabling is Emo X series and they are really really good, absolutely no need to pay more for a quality cable.

The Emotiva X-Series build quality is quite good, the RCA/digital coax interconnects have a tight fit but not overly tight that you'd be afraid to damage the female RCA connector on the products board. I particularly prefer the Emotiva XLR's to other brands, and at this time the only other brand of interconnect or speaker wire that I use is the Belden 5T00UP gray jacket 10 AWG speaker wire that BlueJeans sells, as it fits perfectly in the locking banana plugs I use from GLS Audio.

Emotiva X series cables are very good cables. I use both series cables exclusively.

Just don't overlook Mediabridge, well built and they are as good as anything else....

I don't own any Emo cables. I have owned Mono Price. I buy their premium grade cables. I did have a problem with some of their premium cables from about 4-5 years ago. Damn things were so tight fitting I ended up throwing a few away. I was afraid they would pull the RCA plug right out of one of my subs. I should have sent them back.

Belden cables are industry standard in broadcast TV, its what Blue Jeans uses for their speaker cables. Good product at a reasonable price.

Emotva's X series HDMI is a beautifully made cable.....rugged an nicely sheathed. I pulled everything HDMI I had and replaced with Emo.....very pleased. That being said I HATE HDMI CONNECTORS ....all of them. God forbid you bend one of those puppies sideways and blow everything. Well anyway God bless the new industry standard Bill
