Has anybody tried to program the TA-100 into a Harmony 650 universal remote? Having trouble with the on/off function. Tried the learn routine, volume control works, but the on / off does not work with the universal remote to turn on tv activity. Are there any other Emotiva products that are already part of the Harmony's programming that can be used to operate the BasX as it is not listed as a known device? If so, what model number do you enter? Any assistance is appreciated.

It looks like the same remote as the TA-100 and I can't imagine why the power wouldn't work for you. Have you tried selecting the TA-100 device on the 650 and see if the power button works that way?

They both use the same remote and commands.
So if they have the command codes for one, then it will work on the other.

I HAD a logitech 620, I think the model was. I had trouble programming a KNOWN device which was a small dish receiver. It was listed. I finally did the 'nose to nose' setup and when I got the power to work, ALL other functions dropped into line. I recently upgraded to the 650, since my old unit was wearing out and had 3 or 4 bad buttons. When I plugged it into my computer, it loaded my setup and I havent' looked back. I'm still learning the controls 'by touch'. The screen, however, is VASTLY more useable than the poor resolution monochrome of my original remote.
Try 'stuff' to get it to work. The setups are buggy, but once working are stable.

Still working out a few bugs. For some reason the input on the TA-100 changes when changing activities. Is there a way to change inputs manually with the 650 on the TA-100? Also, is there a set of program codes in the "my harmony" app for the PT-100? I had to use the "learn" function to program the 650.

The center button below the screen will be labeled 'DEVICES'. Press that button and check out the choices. If I am away from my radio for too long the sat dish receiver shuts off (2 hours) than I do as I show above and turn it back ON. BAck to normal.
When you SET UP an activity, you specify everything. When I had a CD player, pressing THAT activity would turn ON the CD and amp. Select the correct input AND the buttons on the remote would be volume for the amp and the play would be for the CD player. other buttons worked, too.
GO THRU YOUR SETUP IN DETAIL and write stuff down BY ACTIVITY.

Logitech doesn't seem to know about the TA-100 yet; I had to use the learn function too. Sadly, MyHarmony doesn't know any codes for going directly to the inputs so it has to guess how many clicks right to give to get to the desired input. Given the long startup time of the TA-100, I added a power-on delay of 12 seconds by holding the help button for 5 seconds and going through the custom delays menu.

Harmony supports the TA-100 stroke for stroke. I installed it two days ago. i installed on a 350, I love the 650 though, 350 is what I had around though.

The ONLY Glitch with the 650, that I can see so far (a couple months ownership) is that it eats Batteries like I own stock in DuraCell. Currently trying a pair of rechargeable NiMh. They are Low Self Discharge and only 2100mah. This is below the capacity of an Alkaline AA, but might actually last as long or longer, due to the output curve. They should maintain voltage and than just stop.
Glad people are having good results with the Logitech Remotes. The entry levels, where I stick are just perfect for many persons. When you start going up the food chain and get into links with your other handheld devices and the repeater needed to run say a Sony PS3 (BlueTooth) is when it starts getting weird AND expensive.

I have three 650's and they last months with rechargables. Never a problem. The 750 with the built in recharger is the shortest hold on power.

Did you select Emotiva or Emotiva Audio as the vendor? And what text did you type in for the model? I think I did "BasX TA-100". How is it doing for the inputs for you? nevermind, I just removed BasX from the model number and it found it. Thanks. Giving this a whirl now.

After finding the preset entry for "TA-100", I found there were still no direct-to-input commands available and that the on-startup input switching was misconfigured for a delay of 2 seconds. Setting a Power On delay of 12 seconds through the advanced delays menu did the trick. Example scenario where this is a problem:- Start the unit with your Play Music activity which uses the Bluetooth input.
- Listen to your music.
- Power down with All Off.
- Start the unit with your Watch TV activity which uses the Optical input.
As the InputNext commands start sending at 2 seconds from power on, most of them will not be realized by the device and you will end up on a random input while the Harmony remote thinks you are on Optical input. All subsequent activities that involve input switching will now set the incorrect input.

If you go from play music to watch TV, the remote KNOWS what is already on and will just switch inputs. That's how MINE works, anyway. If I'm watching TV and want to listen to music, it simply shuts the TV off. I than can use the small dish to tune to the music channels.

Yep, the issue is when its own knowledge of what input is on breaks, and this happens if activities switch inputs between a power off.
