I see that the only Blu-ray player that Oppo has on their website now is the 203. Interesting!!!!

Received my 203 on Wednesday. 4K discs look terrific, with gorgeous color. (I'm viewing on an LG OLED 6c 55" panel).
Using all the Oppo auto functions as set out of the box. Was offered a firmware update right away, and Oppo also included the update on a disc for people without easy internet access.
Player seems quiet, and perhaps a bit quicker loading than the BDP-103. The menu screens have been redone and are gorgeous. The remote has also been upgraded, and when you pick it up it illuminates. I'm using a Ray Super Remote, so won't have much use for it. They Ray Remote, BTW, has all the XMC codes and has already updated Oppo codes to include some additional buttons representing new functions the 4K player needs (like HDR on/off etc).
Have tested SACDs, 3D video, regular CDs. Blu-rays and DVDs. Everything looks fine. I think DVDs look slightly better on this player vs. the 103, but I can't swear to it.
I'm splitting audio off from video, running 1 HDMI into the TV directly, and using HDMI 2 into the XMC-1. I expected a bit of an audio sync problem, and had a slight one, so adjusted the delay on the Oppo to 70ms which eliminated that issue.
So far so good. I expect frequent firmware updates on the UHD-93 as is Oppo's practice to add new features and fix any lingering bugs. The best looking and sounding 4K discs I've seen (small sample) include The Revenant, Independence Day 20th Ann. Edition, and one of the IMAX Space movies.
Gravity in 3D (blu-ray) looks incredible, a combination of the Oppo and the OLED screen deep blacks.
The Emotiva XMC-1 (with Dirac full), XPA2's, my Maggie 3.6r speakers, Aperion surrounds the LG OLED and the Oppo make a potent audio/visual experience,
I'm anxiously awaiting the 8 in 2 out HDMI upgrade board for the XMC-1 to clean up my split cables and allow me to see the XMC on-screen display which I miss.

Mel Gravity 3d blu ray was one of the few movies i bought rather than rented. But i was so dissapointed because the picture didn't fill the screen. With 3d movies, the more screen real estate you have the better! (Like Avatar for instance). I guess they didn't do it in IMAX....

Don't get me wrong the picture looked good. But it was widescreen. I have 3d blu rays that do fill the screen - but it's the "IMAX" version. What do you think it is? Is it that I bought the wrong version?
