Hi All, I am putting together a small 2 channel system. I will be using a Mcintosh mc2505, my question is would I be better off with the PT-100 or Stealth, I plan on connecting to my computer, phone, and at some point a CD player as my sources. The only difference I see is the Stealth has balanced outputs. Thanks Tony

For your computer the Stealth DC-1. Yes the PT-100 will work and do a good job but the DC-1 Is a step above and does have a analog input. The DC-1 outputs are not just XLR but the unit is truly differential balanced. Just my two cents.

Tony, I took the plunge and got the TA-100, sold my DC-1 and will be selling my XPS-1 when they bring the Emporium back. One stop shop for my analog/TT and digital needs with a little juice to squeeze out a little Emo love to my new Airmotiv B1's. Good luck with what you decide.

The PT-100 has a FM tuner and you can get Bluetooth for it. I do not have any time with the new BasX gear and I am sure it is excellent sounding. Just saying that the DC-1 is a exceptional way to get quality sound from a computer. The Digital to Analog converter in it is amazing for the price. Can't go wrong either way Tony. Hope that does not make the decision harder.

Oh yeh, forgot it has Phono as well. Do you have a turntable or ever thought about it. You can buy the latest in music on records pretty easy again now.

I do have some of my old vinyl's that Id like to listen to at some point, so a phono may be used at some point as well.

You can get a phono preamp (cheap quality) on amazon for $13. The DC-1 is a very good DAC imo at its price range. Its quality can outdo both preamps and amps which end up being the bottleneck electronics in the system. I would choose the DC-1 without hesitation.

Pair the matching Stealth module SP-1 with the DC-1 and you will have three analog inputs and the Emotiva phono amp. emotiva.com/products/pres-and-pros/electronics/sp-1

The PT-100 gets the nod for versatility but the DC-1 has a much better headphone amp if that's important to you. Both sound very good but I've not compared them directly.

I thought the DAC in the PT-100 most excellent!
