Just wish to confirm my method of settings.
I own a pair of Usher Tower XL's which have a tweeter mid section on top and a separate base consisting of a Eaton 11" woofer. In my room I can get some room interaction at certain frequencies which is annoying.
Of course I can use the XMC to alleviate these interactions in stereo mode but I wish to avoid having the XMC in the audio chain for the top section mid/tweet. I have an Auralic Altair DAC I'm auditioning which I'm becoming quite fond of I wish to feed the mid/tweet cabinet directly which I'd been doing without having the sub portion connected.
I have 2 very fine amplifiers as well, an Usher 1.5 and a BMC S1. My thought was to use the big Usher on the woofer section and the BMC on the mid/tweet cabinet and use the XMC to DSP the woofer section. I tried this using the XMC as a passthrough for the Altair DAC and using the stereo sub outs of the XMC to the woofer sections. Mode was Direct. It worked but it just didn't sound correct. Something was amiss. I set the mid/tweet to large and used enhanced bass but wasn't very satisfied.
If I could avoid having the Altair pass through the XMC that would be better yet. How to correctly fix the room interaction using the XMC and still have a great mid/tweet/woofer blend would be ideal.
Thoughts?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding it but I think this will not work. The XMC-1 is not designed to be a DSP in a crossover situation like that. You may be interested in Bryston's sub management system bryston.com/products/other/10B-SUB.html
