can any1 help?
is there a 5.1 or 7.1 driver for the xmc1 for win 10? the cmedia driver on emotiva site is only 2 channel and cant stream surround in jriver front panel only shows PCM 2.0 but still got sound from all speakers

If your connected via HDMI then the configuration is in the Media Center (JRivers) software, not the XMC-1. oH, and hi and welcome.

xmc1 input setup: v-hdmi A-usb stream
no matter what i do in jriver it changed back to 2ch automatically give message that the driver not support 8ch

The USB Stream input of the XMC-1 does not support Multi-channel audio. From the XMC-1 manual.... "Like most audiophile DACs, this input supports two-channel PCM audio at sample rates between 44.1 kHz and 192 kHz at 16 bit or 24 bit depth, and does NOT support most multi-channel digital audio formats, including multi-channel PCM audio or DSD. However, it DOES support playback of DTS encoded CDs and audio les (including both two- channel and surround sound types)." If you want multi-channel audio playback, you must use HDMI audio or a SPDIF input that supports MCH-PCM. Hope this helps...
