Carroll wire from Home Depot for 15.00 Zu Audio....... 450.00.
Identical results. There are those of us out there who seem to be obsessed with tossing money π°. Out the window.

Zu is one of those companies that is notorious for some of the most ludicrous claims on the face of the planet π . Not the least of which is 400 HOURS OF BREAK IN PERIOD WITH SPECIFIC TYPES OF MUSIC MATERIAL.
Speaker cable is all about lead length, wire gauge for proper resistance for the application, period.
Of course this is is a fun hobby only, so people are free to believe whatever they want and spend anyway they want.
If this kind of obscene sucker punching were attached to something serious like health costs somebody would be doing jail time!

Bill Never read the hype, had a loaner set before my purchase and even the Mrs., unbeknownst to her , heard an improvement. I can't explain it but when the Mrs hears a difference and I hadn't told her a thing about changing anything in our system,,,,,,,well, that has got to be something!! I rarely believe half of what I hear and almost as much as i see!

Does anybody actually think that music is RECORDED with these exotic cables?
If engineers don't use them, why should the end-listener?

Interesting....a picture has been posted here naming a type of speaker cable and the door also opened to the subject of biamping.
So, we're having a discussion that you introduced with different opinions..... I see no problem with thatπ
Regarding biamping, steadily, more loudspeaker manufacturers are moving away from that since there is little to be gained in most cases, unless there are active crossovers employed.

"Never read the hype, had a loaner set ...."
Well, when it comes to shelling out dough like that for wires I read EVERYTHING. especially the hype.
Most of the hype is typically generated by the company itself.

Ahhhh... but all cables have electrical characteristics, and so will interact at least to some degree with the equipment you connect them to..... This means that it's not at all surprising that you might hear a really tiny difference, even between quite similar ones. But not every slight difference is an improvement.... If the difference is really slight, how do you know that the $10 zip cord isn't the one that's actually better? Could it perhaps be because someone has convinced you that the more expensive one SHOULD sound better? I'm just saying..... Thats why I always employ the "Mrs" test. I dont say a word about anything and she has picked out almost if not every time Ive changed something in our system. I ask what she is talking about and she explains, sometimes in more detail then others. She isn't bashful about saying that it sounds better or worse. I love my Mrs. She has two great ears!,,,,,,,,,,,, and a wonderful husband,,,,,,he,,,,,he,,,,,he,,,,,

Has she ever said she noticed anything even though you didn't change things? Operant conditioning... She can't see me "puttering" if shes not home. Thats the best time to make any changes. She is extremely low maintenance, flowers are a waist of money and most everthing else is utilitarian. Shoes and cloths, no big deal to her. Jewelry, just the wedding band, anything more would be "showy" or flaunting. Even chocolate is a rarity, she loves it but all things in moderation.

"Words mean nothing, results are what matters!" Yes! I agree with you 100 percent, which is why I go to Home Depot for wire to connect my loudspeakers rather than places like Zu. Bill
