What will the price be on the new Stealth DC-1 and will you lower the price on the old one?

What will the price be on the new Stealth DC-1 and will you lower the price on the old one? The Emotiva lounge is mainly for regular people like you and me to use and chit chat. It is not usually regulated by Emotiva staff answering pricing questions and the like. The best way to contact them is to call them.

And while Emotiva mentioned that they were working on a new DC-1 there is zero indication that it is coming out any time soon. Best bet is when you are readyto buy just buy.
From experience when the product goes on crazy low sale price and B-stock is being cleared out that this may be an indication that new versiom is close.

OTOH, I'm holding off a DAC purchase until I see what the new Emotiva Stealth DAC can do. If it doesn't impress me, then my second choice is the Schiit Gungnar Multibit. But I'm honestly expecting great things from Emotiva - to the point where I'm willing to wait for them (MOST unusual for me...). I may have to wait up to a year, but in the interim, I have the most excellent Oppo BDP-105 to keep me company.
So, Lonnie, I'm out here in your cheering section - Make us proud!

I'm really just waiting to see if it has a 12V trigger. If it does I'll buy it.

Don't expect anything terribly different in sound quality from their new DAC vs say the DC-1. However, it will likely have different features that may interest you like a bigger headphone out. Playback of 32 bit files. But not MQA. I reccomend giving those Schiit DAC's a chance while you still have that PS Audio balanced preamp on hand. The gamble is $63.00 restocking fee + shipping for the Gungnir multibit. Is the $63 worth waiting an year to see which one is better? I side towards not waiting. If it is better then that's an year of increased listening pleasure.
