Earlier today, I picked up one of these www.psaudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Slider-12.png from my favourite friendly HiFi dealers. So far I've more or less only tested functionality. I'm happy to say that it playing through Ron from my Mac Pro over cabled Ethernet through 3 switches, it has no problem even with DSD 128. The two devices also showed up with IP addresses on my network, so it might well do it all through TCP/IP, which is great. I had a few afterwork beers so no point in commenting on sound quality apart from the fact that it does pass DSD 256 to be listenable without interruptions. (The DAC and ROON also acknowledge it is a 128 DSD bit perfect.)

Also works with the XMC-1, Mytek Manhattan, Pro-Ject RS and DS. Works fine with Mac, PC and Linux.
Struggling a bit with Dirac to the Mytek at the moment.

For me it turned to not work so well whether one was running it in standalone mode or over an existing CAT6 wired LAN. It worked ok with some DACs using XMOS USB chip and also with PS Audio Directstream as long as Dirac wasn't involved. So with those DACs it worked fairly well with for instance Roon but I struggled to hear any sound improvement/difference. In fact I didn't hear any sound different at all, except with the Directstream with had noise and clicks when playing from an Apple Mini. With the Lanrover in place, the noise and clicks where gone.
With some other DACs and/or using Dirac it just worked randomly or partially, with my Mytek it worked really well at times and then not all. Using the XMC-1 as a DAC with Lanrover worked ok when in standalone mode but over the LAN most players were limited to 48k.
Since my intended use for it was to have a remote PC with Dirac play to one of my listening rooms, the Lanrover was a bit of a disappointment. Then again, I was more or less expecting it to not work as well as all the raving reviews.

I was a beta tester and returned it. Had connectivity problems in parts of my system. Worked in other parts of the system just fine.

Wish I did beta test it too. Now I'm stuck with it...

Wish I did beta test it too. Now I'm stuck with it... The beta test was purchase at a $100 discount. Took only a couple of weeks to determine it wouldn't work for me. I have a pretty solid network using mesh wifi, MoCA, and EOP. MoCA (Ethernet over coaxial cable) worked better for my application. PM me if you'd like further info.

It was quick for me as well, just never got around to write an update. My network is pretty solid with everything except iDevices and a few cooking and monitoring devices being on CAT5e, CAT6 or fiber. I'll send you a PM later, thanks. Cheers Johan
