Parts you need: 12 or 10 AWG wires (twisted pairs are best, but you can parallel wires or space them as you see fit) Terminals if you want them (bananas & spades are popular) Cable pants if you want them Braided wire sheathing if you want it Tools you need: 1. Wire tool, HD Soldering Iron & (optional) wire cutter: 2. Strip your wire covering back until you have the desired lead length & strip about ½ inch or so of insulation from each wire tip using the wire tool: 3. OPTIONAL - If you're making bi-wire cables, twist the wires together on one end: 4. Tin the wires using the soldering iron - Sometimes having a vise helps hold the wires: 5. If you want plugs or other terminations solder them on now: 6. Insulate the terminals: 7. If you want sheathing or ties on the wires, add them now & trim if needed: 9. Enjoy your new wires:
