Hi everyone
I just bought a pair of Emotiva Pro Airmotiv 6 from ebay from US ( Im in EU )
The speakers got home, I switch them to 220V from 110V (they have a voltage switcher).
They are active speakers both having a volume knob on the front down right side. So far so good, both seemed to work.
The problem is that while one of them can really ramp up the volume extremely high and sound great the other one sounds extremely low..very low and flat ..like cant even beat my regular pc desktop crappy speakers.
Everything is maxed on pc , Audioengine D1 DAC and the Emotiva speaker with the problem.
I did swap the cables between both of them and the problem still persist. Can you guys help me, please ? Thank you !

Looks like you either received a bad unit or it probably got damaged during shipping. Any chance that you can contest the sale with either EBay or Paypal (if you used them)?

Your alternative is to send the bad unit back to Emotiva for repair and incur the shipping costs on that. Sorry to hear about your situation. It totally sucks!

Or, as Geebo suggested, perhaps some wires got loose during transit. Is it simple enough to open up the speaker to check for that?

The seller was trustworthy (100% from hundreds of items) so there is a high chance of something snapping during the shipping. Is the tweeter part on the top (with the grill) ? and the woofer the big round part ? ..Im sorry Im a totally newbee .. Despite all this I have to confess you guys make me feel already better..THANK YOU ! I will check tomorrow

I suggest that you take it to a local electronics repair shop if you have one around. Let them open it up and check all wiring and connections. If you need to ask which is the tweeter then this is not something you will be able to do yourself since these are active speakers and they will have gobs of electronics in them. I don't mean any disrespect by that statement. I'm merely suggesting a better and less error-prone approach. I myself am an electronics dud.

I know my stealth 8's have switches on the back to completely turn off the tweeter, as well as some other roll of settings for the tweeter and woofer. It sounds like you have an older set of the Airmotiv 6's if they have volume knobs on the front, thus I bring this up for you to check the back of the monitors for any setting switches that may have been flipped/moved during transit. I'd try setting everything to default/normal if you can. Hopefully you have the manual, or else can find an archived version online.
Can you tell if just the woofer (lower, traditional looking speaker) is making sound, and if the tweeter (high up, golden part with grill) is not making any sound? Or are they both making sound, just very quietly?
