Any plans for a successor to the Emotiva Mini-x a-100 (preferably even more compact)? Looking to get a small amp for a desktop system this Christmas, looks like it'll be a Topping TP22 or Audioengine N22 for now. Being an Airmotiv 4s owner, I am biased toward an Emotiva offering in the same price range Thx, Jay

Yes and it will have a headphone jack too.
Don't know when it will be released.

VERY SOON (it's called the BasX A-100) It now includes a headphone output..... and a very special one. The headphone output is derived from the main amplifier outputs (like on the vintage equipment so highly regarded by headphone buffs). And the amps have been redesigned to be much quieter, so they work even better with headphones. It will also include an internal jumper that will let you bypass the output dropping resistors. This will connect the amp outputs directly to the headphone output. (You wouldn't do this with normal headphones, but it will let you drive low-efficiency planars, like early Audeze models, without messy adapter cables.)

Thanks for the responses. Don't need the headphone output....sounds like overkill for my needs. Any chance there will be two versions, one without the headphone output and lower price?

Any idea what the load will be into ~50 Ohms, and any clue if it would be more than the Gen1/Gen2 Mini-x? I'm curious how well it would power the HE-6. I felt my Gen1 Mini-x was decent for driving it, but my Carver M500T power amp was definitely an improvement.

If I'm remembering correctly, the BasX A-100 will sell for $199, so I highly doubt there would be two versions of this small footprint of an integrated amplifier.

My GRADO 80 series are very sensitive and I would NEVER plug 'em straight into an amp. The least expensive Audeze planar in the LCD series STARTS @1000$ which is pretty elite territory. And it goes UP from there! In a quick look, I saw no specs but don't doubt for a second that these are VERY low sensitivity.

Is the speaker path cut out by a relay when headphones are plugged in? I love my mini-X, bought last Christmas... probably should buy one as a 'spare' anyway. I wonder if the $195 sale price includes shipping?

Will the end user have to do anything to the jumper in order to bypass the mentioned resistors, or does the unit come ready to do the bypassing? I would like to try this with my Hifiman He-6, which will definitely require that bypass, I think,

The manual shows you where the board is. I haven't tried it yet myself but it looks pretty simple.
