Here is the situation:
Planning on using XMC-1 as a processor.
Directv is connected to XMC-1 via HDMI (input 1). HDMI output 1 from XMC-1 is connected to HDMI input on Oppo-103. XMC-1 decodes the audio and sends the video signal to Oppo for upscaling.
Oppo HDMI out 1 (video) is connected directly to my TV, Oppo HDMI output 2 (Audio) is connected to XMC-1 (input 2). Is there any way for XMC-1 to just decode the audio and NOT to send the video signal back to Oppo (since the XMC-1 HDMI out is connected to Oppo HDMI input-1 for video upscaling)?
I don't need the XMC-1 send the video signal (which is mixed with audio signal) back to Oppo since Oppo send the video directly to TV.
Many thanks for your guidance.

For the XMC-1, there is no such thing as HDMI audio without video. The HDMI audio timing is derived from the video timing so you can't have the former without the latter. I believe one of the most recent updates to the HDMI spec will change this, but it's not relevant now.
This shouldn't be a problem for you. If you select HDMI1 on XMC-1 and let the Oppo pass the video signal through, you will get DirecTV (with audio from XMC-1 and upscaling from Oppo). If you select HDMI2 on XMC-1 and have Oppo output its video you will get Blu-ray (with audio from XMC-1 and upscaling from Oppo). The Oppo will just ignore the video signal from the XMC-1.

Maybe I'm missing something but why not just connect the DirectTV to the Oppo then the Oppo's output to the XMC input and let the video signal pass on to the TV? The XMC is strictly video passthrough and does no video processing.

Why not just connect Direct TV to a input on the XMC-1 directly? It would be the easiest and no need to involve the 103 at all. I suppose no harm if you do. Not sure if there is an advantage there. I had a 103, and never used the HDMI input on the 103. So I can't say from experience. So why not give a try I suppose.

I have other boxes that need to be connected to XMC-1 (Music Server which has visualization, Globe Cast Satellite). I used Directv as an example. All the video signals from XMC-1 go to Oppo for upscaling and then passed to TV.

What is it about the Oppo upscaling that you prefer to your TV's upscaling? I actually think my TV does a better job of upscaling than the 103.

Yeah, unless your TV is old its video processing is likely excellent. From an optimization perspective, it makes more sense to do the processing where it can be tuned to the specific display.
However, if you have the Darbee version of the Oppo, then I get why you'd want to use it.

Many thanks for your help.
But let me ask you this:
If I send all the video signals (Directv, Globe Cast, Roku, ...) except Oppo directly from XMC-1 to my TV (using TV's HDMI input) and also connect Oppo directly to TV and if I connect the HDMI audio out from Oppo to XMC-1 HDMI in to decode the audio, wouldn't XMC-1 send the Oppo video signal (Audio also carries Video coming out of Oppo to XMC-1)to TV while decoding the audio?
Will I get a double video signal to TV (one from Oppo and one from XMC-1, while playing a disk on Oppo)

Only one HDMI input at a time can be selected on the TV. You're either getting video from the Oppo or from the XMC-1.
