good afternoon everyone
I have a question. Can I use the airmotiv c1 as speakers for left and right? why or why not.
I plan to use them horizontally.
.
I hope you can help me.
thank you very much,
greetings Martin

The horizontal center channel is borne out of compromise to accommodate TVs and screens that are not acoustically transparent to allow the use of a vertical center channel. Ideally, the center channel should be behind the screen.
Multi-driver speakers, especially those with different drivers, will produce some comb filtering or lobing effects. These effects are not an issue when the drivers are vertically oriented but in the horizontal plane it can smear imaging and cause audio artifacts more readily. A horizontal orientation also makes it difficult to time align all the drivers to the listener's position, creating phase issues.
If you were to place the C1 vertically then that may solve the above, however, the tweeter's dispersion will be reversed. I presume that the tweeter in the C1 is set to disperse more horizontally than vertically (someone can correct me if I'm wrong about this). If that is so, then by placing the speaker vertically you will change it so that it will have greater vertical dispersion than horizontal. This might affect imaging too and will create a narrower sweet spot.
Why do you wish to use the C1 horizontally for your L/R channels? Why not use the B1 for that purpose?

Ideally, the center channel should be behind the screen. Absolutely agree. Center channel speakers a lot of use above or below panels are a workaround.
