Hello,
I have finally replaced my Denon AVR3100-W as my preamp/surround sound processer with an XMC-1
My speakers are Martin Logan ESLs (2 front), Martin Logan EM-C2 Center, Martin Logan MX16s for the surrounds and the Martin Logan Dynamo x1500 sub.
The sub is 650 watts(1300 max) and rumbled the house when attached to the Denon.
On the XMC-1, while we can hear the bass, it's movie performance is very quiet, music is less than balanced, but not what I want for harder hitting music. I have selected to bypass the crossover in the sub and have the volume at half (more than needed).
I have used the Dirac room correction twice and have the speakers set as small in the setup. I also modified the speaker setup to increase Bass to the max, as well as done the same with the remote control. If I change the setup to preselect 1 versus Dirac, bass is somewhat better, but nothing like what it sounds on the Denon.
I bashfully even attached my very low end Yamaha Receiver and Bass was present there, 10 times.
I am certain this is user error! Someone, please help, what is going on with the low bass levels?
Many Thanks in Advance, Mike

Many Thanks in Advance, Mike Try manual setup, cut all channels at 80, sending 80 and down to the sub channel, it should work and if so then it's the software not working properly or you not running it properly.

Many Thanks in Advance, Mike Check out the FAQ here. Some good info. I also experienced weak bass with the stock mic and cal file. At the bottom of Ansat's signature in the FAQ there is a link and instructions to an alternate cal file and how to use it. I have since gotten a Cross Spectrum calibrated Umik-1 and Dirac Full which will unleash the full potential of Dirac and the XMC-1. emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/40758/dirac-xmc-1-work-progress

Thanks Guys, great FAQ. I'll be traveling this week, so no playing. As I am a noob with Dirac, I initially tried to load it up thinking I could do some screen shots from my previous run, but it wants to sync with the XMC and microphone, which I don't have time to attach at the moment. I'll be responding in a few days with the outcome, many thanks!

Also make sure you use a SPL to ensure all your channels are as "loud" as the others. I use a Radio Shack meter.

I spent some time with Emotiva this morning. Great suggestions/input from the board here, thank you very much. As it turns out, I had multiple issues, even including phase. Going through the speaker setup, we were able to dramatically alter the bass output. My pant legs are now vibrating when watching Avitar (had to go with Preset 1 as I have not purchased the full version of Dirac yet). This problem now goes down to a fun project which I can spend time over the next few weeks versus my family's gripes/urgency about sound and their movies Many thanks again!!!

What were your issues and what did you change. I feel I'm in the same boat. Help!

It looks like phase was one of the issues, but it also looks like the Call to Emotiva World HQ (they're very helpful) did the trick.
