The 'Waves Abbey Road Vinyl Plugin'. Although on the mixing side of things, it still looks like a cool piece of software. It helps to recreate the true warmth of the analogue sound by adding noise, crackle, phase distortion, wow, and flutter

Hmmm, not too excited about wow, and flutter. Less even so about crackle and pops and other surface noise. Wow and flutter on "better" designed turntables, note not necessarily more expensive, could deliver great stable speed without souring the notes of the music due to short or long speed variance, wow, and flutter. Proper record cleaning maintenence, and procedures could null most of the pop, crackle, and surface noise too.
By the way. Due to the pinch rollerless Ampex ATR-100 Reel to Reel used allot in Mastering. Wow and flutter didn't happen there either. So let's see, no pops, crackle, or surface noise. No Wow, and flutter. That only leaves Analog music to hear. So if the plug in was any good you could turn off all the negative artifacts, and just have analog music. Ah. That was some work.
