I know that Emotiva recommends a 230vac line for X series gen 3 amps but I live in an apt where I probably have a 120vac line. Anyone having a problem with their XPA gen 3 amp with a 120vac line? I am trying to decide between the XPA 5 gen 3 and the basx line to go with my Paradigm Studio v5 speakers. Thanks.

You will probably be perfectly fine with an XPA-5 on an apartment circuit. Unless you have lots of other things on the same circuit - like servers or high wattage stuff - you're fine.
Lots of people run an XPA-5 on a 15A breaker - and it's possible to run multiple XPAs on a single breaker too. It's just transients that briefly drive up the amperage.

Right now I have my receiver, bluray player, tv and cable box on the same circuit. No problems so far. Thanks again for the info.
