Has anyone had experience in matching this or any other Emotiva amp with ADS speakers? Thoughts and experiences please. A/D/S L1290
1. ) NAD 2155 as mono blocks, 150 RMS / ea. 2.) UPA-1, 200 RMS / ea. 3.) XPA-1 Gen 1 500 RMS / ea.
1 and 2 both sounded very good, the UPA's being somewhat better The XPA-1's were the answer, the power really rewarded, effortless and airy sound
Unsure which A/D/S you are using / considering ~ I also had a pair of L810's with a Crown D150a 80 RMS / channel More difficult to drive than the Polk LSi9's now in that system

Might vary as a function of WHEN in the ADS / Braun run the speakers were made. And Where.
I know they were originally German but later made HERE in the USA.
If I could find a pair of the TriAmp (powered speaker) model, I'd STILL be tempted. LV1020? This would be mid / early '70s.

I have the L710 speakers, and it is matched with a TA100 and A300. IMO, they ADS' sound great. Prior to this, the ADS' were powered by an Denon amp (PMA 530 from around 1980). I got the ADS speakers and the Denon amp at the same time.
IMO, the Emotiva's breathed new life into the speakers, and the bass sounds much better. Very neutral sound. I haven't adjusted the pre-amp's treble or bass.
