Hi!
My 5-ch amp just broke down so i figured i would use my Active subwoofer that has a built in amplifier for external speakers (2.1 system) I tried using the Test tones to dial it in but the output seems a bit strange.. When i play a Test tone it works OK on the Front L and Front R channels, its after that it gets weird, ill try to explain below.
Front L -> OK Front R -> OK Center -> Front R Right Surround -> Front R Right Back -> Front R Left Back -> Quiet Left Surround -> Quiet Subwoofer -> Front R
I have set the UMC-200 so that i only have Front Speakers and a Subwoofer connected, rest is set to None. Cant confirm this worked with my 5ch amplifer since its having some repairs, ill have to wait for it to be fixed to try that.
Any ideas? Grounding issues or..?

Why do you even try to play back those test tones?
You set the UMC to 2.1 so obviously signals for SR, SL and C get mixed to the fronts - the UMC does exactly what it should.

What's the problem, exactly? You only have 2 speakers connected, why would the UMC tone speakers that aren't connected?

I was gonna lower the input on one of the Speakers, that is why i was in there!. I understand what you are saying but not sure you read through what i wrote? Im aware it should downmix but.. The test tones only comes from the right speaker, not both. The only time it produces any sound from the left speaker is when i test the Front L. And yes, i have only 2 speakers connected.. why does it produce any sound at all and only to the right speaker when i test the outputs that are set to None? It just seems weird and thats why im asking.

Either a software bug as Wideawake said, or it's just how the UMC is. Most would throw all of that into the Left channel, but maybe Emotiva just had to be different.

aquvist, not "Grounding issues". The implementation is just buggy. Please see www.avsforum.com/forum/90-receivers-amps-processors/1491348-official-emotiva-umc-200-thread.htmlUse test tones from REW, a disc or similar. Hi!
