Of all the audio gear in my signature, the most money spent on 1 piece of gear was the XMC-1 at $1,200.

I cast my vote.... What I would find more interesting would be how much was spent if you had a high end stereo system and converted it to an HT system on the same level.

I cast my vote, but may we ask why you would like to know?

I cast my vote, but may we ask why you would like to know? Yeah, It's none of his business! Next think you know he'll want my SSN and all my passwords! (He's probably from the IRS.) Already hacked into my computer!

How'd you guess? Lol 😆
The numbers get pretty juicy when you make that kind of jump 🐇.
More interesting than just one big ticket item

Turntable but that is really a total of 4 pieces -pre-amp. cartridge, tonearm and table I think that counts as one piece of gear even though, technically, it's multiple.

When I first got into H.T. I purchased three high end components all at once. The bill was $11.500 (in round numbers). My timing was impeccable......both the finance company and the store, went out of business during the process. I paid less than a third of the bill up front and never got a bill for the rest.
