Just got an Xbox One S and want to run HDMI video direct to my 4k TV (HDMI 5) and have the audio go via optical output to the UMC-200. I have the cables selected and the audio on the xbox selected to use optical. However I do not get any audio from the UMC-200. I have selected the input, no audio, set the optical input to an HDMI input, no audio. I am stumped, just can't figure out why the UMC will not accept an audio signal. Any help would be great.
Have DVR/Blu-Ray/XboxOne all connected via HDMI and everything works fine. HDMI output goes into HDMI 1 (ARC) to the TV.

Iremember the first time I used an optical cable, it had a little protector over the tip of the cable that I didn't realize was there. worth a shot

Ok, I figured it out. I ended up connecting the optical cable to the optical out on the TV then selected the ARC input on the UMC. Once I did that, it passed the audio signal.
