I'm sure there are numerous threads covering this topic but I wasn't able to find them via search.
Would someone point me to a thread or two? I'm wondering if connecting a Little Ego to an Android phone via USB is possible.

There isn't enough power in a phone to run an Ego. You could plug a phone into a powered USB hub, also plug an Ego into the same hub which will power the Ego. Keith posted a how to in the Ego's thread. Somewhere around here; emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/42963/big-ego-littleHappy New Year Gsry

I have a Samsung Note5.. it will not power Little Ego on its own.. using a powered usb hub seems to be a no go as well. It sees a device plugged in, but will not play audio through little Ego.

Using a USB hub should let the Little Ego play through it unless it's just a hub for charging etc. It'll need to be plugged into a USB port on the computer. Like Garbulky said - you'll need to select the L.E. in the output devices before it'll play. I do this through settings - sound - device in Linux. In Windows you just place the mouse over the speaker icon in the system tray - do a right click and select output devices. Make the L.E. the default device and it should start cranking out music - or whatever you're playing. Like say --- a podcast from Emotiva? Hint, hint.

I can get LE to play (driverless mode on my work (heavily restricted) laptop... sounds very good through WMP w/ cheap earbuds. But .. I cannot get my Android phone to Play through LE: First tried to go from Phone to (non powered) USB hub to LE. Phone Didnt power LE or USB hub. Second.. connected USB hub to laptop (via usb port) .. Hub lights up.. plugged in Little EGO, it powers up.. plugged in my Android device (Note5)... my android device sees something connected (not sure if it is seeing LE or laptop.. phone asks me how I want to use device (reading files, videos, photos, or midi) , I select midi, just to try something.. then I stream TIDAL , but music comes out of phone.. Funny thing, but when I select MIDI, or Photos, or whatever from Android device I hear a sound from earphones (through LE) . Maybe I need an actual AC powered USB hub?

Also.. I do understand LE/Big Ego are designed for laptop use.. so just experimenting with Android phone connectivity.. which is kinda fun.
Next week I will be getting the new LG V30, which has a quality DAC, headphone amp and ability to power up headphones very well , so I may end up simply using the DAC with my home laptop, or selling... or maybe give to my son in CA.
